Capabilities

Complex geometry, fewer setups.

Every handoff between machines is another place for error to enter a part. We cut the handoffs out — complete geometry on five axes in as few setups as possible.

5-Axis Milling

Two identical Matsuura MAM72-35V cells

Full simultaneous five-axis on twin MAM72-35V machining centers, each fed by its own 32-pallet pool and each carrying a 320-tool magazine. Complex geometry — deep pockets, odd angles, thin walls — finished complete in one setup inside a Ø350 × 315 mm envelope.

Because the two machines are identical, a program proved out on one runs on the other with no re-proving and no second setup sheet. Your part number has two machines behind it, not one — and no single point of failure in the schedule.

Haas VF-4 and VF-1D

Two Haas VF-4 machining centers at 12,000 rpm and a Haas VF-1D for smaller work, carrying plate parts, fixturing and volume production alongside the five-axis cells — so the automated machines stay loaded with the work that actually needs five axes.

The same program that proved it out

High-dollar prototypes and first articles run on the same machine, the same program and the same inspection plan that carry the part into recurring production. Nothing gets re-learned at the worst possible moment.

Five axes in, five axes out

An LK SCANtek 10.10.08 CMM carrying a Renishaw REVO-2 five-axis head. Contoured surfaces are scanned continuously, not sampled at a handful of discrete touch points — a blend or a profile is compared to the model across its whole face.

Parts cut on five axes get inspected on five axes.

Automation

The machines don't stop when we go home.

Sixty-four pallets sit resident across two identical five-axis cells, with magazine capacity for up to 640 tools between them. Work queues up and runs unattended — through the night, through the weekend. The whole shop is scheduled in Fulcrum, so what goes on a pallet tonight is decided against real machine capacity and real material, not a whiteboard. Unattended running isn't an occasional stretch here. It's how the schedule is built.

A conventional shop gets eight spindle hours out of a machine in a day. We plan on more than twenty.

64 Pallets

Setups built once

Thirty-two pallets stage ahead of each MAM72-35V. Jobs are set up, proved out and left standing — so re-running a part number next quarter is a load, not a rebuild.

Tooling

Room we deliberately don't fill

We don't pack the magazines out. Each five-axis machine carries our standard tooling plus the specific tools a job needs, inside a 320-tool magazine — so there's always room to stage the next job without stripping out the last one. Setups go in fast and come back fast.

Lights-Out

Nights and weekends

Matsuura built the MAM72 platform around 72 hours of continuous automated machining. We schedule against that number rather than around it, and unattended runs are a standing part of the week.

Fewer Variables

Automation removes handoffs

Every time a part changes hands or changes fixtures, something can move. Automatic pallet changes and single-setup five-axis machining take those chances off the table before they're ever taken.

How We Work

Three words that decide what happens at 2 a.m.

These aren't posters on a wall. They're the operating system that determines what gets done when something goes wrong and nobody is watching.

Loyalty Pride Integrity

Extreme ownership

There is no "someone else's job." Every part is owned from quote through final inspection by the people who touched it. If a tool breaks at 2 a.m., the person who loaded it owns fixing it before breakfast. If a print is wrong, we catch it, flag it and propose the fix — we don't build to print and blame engineering.

Over-communication

Photo and video proof of critical operations, sent the day they run. Where your job sits isn't somebody's recollection — it's a live record in Fulcrum, updated at the machine as the work happens. Same-day answers on open questions. You will never have to call us to find out what's happening with your parts, and you will never hear about a problem a week after we found it.

Relentless process discipline

Owning every outcome and communicating like the program depends on it is what earns the right to push the machines as hard as we do. Discipline isn't the opposite of speed here. It's the only reason the speed is safe.

The Floor

Come see it run.

Customers are welcome on the floor. Until then — [REPLACE THESE THREE PLATES WITH REAL PHOTOS] shoot them dark and tight: chips in flight, the pallet pool loaded, a part on the CMM. Do not buy stock photography; it's the fastest way to look like everyone else.
